There’s a lot of buzz now about “big data” – and, as marketers, we have more data about prospects and customers available to us now than ever before. It’s exciting yes, but it can also be overwhelming!

Knowing how to deal with this data is important. Tracking the right customer data can help marketers make more informed decisions. On the other hand, tracking the wrong data can have a negative impact on your marketing efforts.

On Wednesday, November 7, Direct Marketing News is hosting Customer Data that Delivers: A Direct Marketing News Virtual Event. This one-day virtual conference is designed to help marketers learn how to overcome obstacles and use customer data to increase marketing performance, profitability, and customer engagement.

During the conference, Janelle Johnson, Act-On’s Director of Demand Gen, will present Feeling Overwhelmed by Data? In her presentation, Janelle will address:

  • The benefits and challenges of data
  • Which data to track across key channels
  • Aligning your data strategy with your marketing objectives
  • Using multichannel data to inform marketing decisions

Join us! Register now for Customer Data that Delivers: A Direct Marketing News Virtual Event on November 7, from 8:30AM – 3:30PM PST.

Sounds like this will be a great one to attend. I agree, there is A LOT of different data to track. Knowing exactly what data to track is probably the biggest issue I’ve seen. Act-On does a really good job tracking all that data, but its you who has to decide what data to act on (pun intended). This should be helpful to a lot of people.

Thank you for mentioning this event I have registered and look forward to the sessions. Understanding how to make these complex tracking options easy for the client to understand can be challenging. Helping them understand which pieces of big data that is really important and seeing the get it is very rewarding. Cheers, Chris K.

Sounds like a great webinar. I think the sheer level of data that marketers have their hands on these days can definitely be overload. Knowing how to sift through the data and focus on what’s most important is key. I think this webinar will clarify a lot for people.
